It's not something a lot of people ate until pretty recently and even then, it was store bought. A few of us may remember our Moms making yogurt using a yogurt maker when we were younger, but the idea that it really is such a simple process is new to us. Leave it to the US to make it so complicated! I certainly hope this never happens in India. We are so far removed from the farm here we have no idea what it's like to find our own eggs, grow our own produce or even milk a cow. And forget about the proper way to slaughter and butcher animals, even though the vast majority of us eat meat. It's a sad place to be.Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01765393759306277549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4733407502833428125.post-82323867608821294082012-06-12T12:01:15.184-07:002012-06-12T12:01:15.184-07:00It's really much easier than this post looks. ...It's really much easier than this post looks. There are sweetened, flavored and colored yogurts coming into market these days and it breaks my heart that one day we might stop making it!!
I don't really check the temperature of the milk... simply warm it up a little, add about a tbsp of yogurt front he previous day (for 3-4 cups of warm milk) and let it sit overnight.
Love your last photo of yogurt with a stare berry on top :)chinmayie @ love food eathttp://www.lovefoodeat.comnoreply@blogger.com
